12th April - 19th April

Many a good tune played on an old fiddle and Jonny was not going to let us down he came up with a beautiful 66lb catfish, the group enjoyed a full week's fishing the largest been 30lb 4oz, all fish were caught in the morning, unfortunately the weather is still cold and wet.

5th April - 12th April

The Army lads arrived on 5th april to a cold and wet France. Luckily this didn't dampen their spirits as they got stuck staight into the fishing 10 mirror carp came out, the lads are going to send me details and pics so keep looking.

25th Aug - 1st September

Biggest fish of the week and top rod with 18 fish went to Jason, with a little caught fish at its top weight of 50.04lb along with others to

38lb. He then moved to let Jimmy have a go, Jim took 5 fish with 2 30's and 2

40's. Andy also taking carp to 42lb. In all 6 people broke their personal bests this week. Well done lads.

18th August - 25th August

This week saw the return of the Hull family Trevor, Sharon and Keith. The wet weather did not deter the northern gang from having some cracking carp on the bank. Well Done and see you soon.

11th August - 18th August

12 year old Samuel Peach landed fish of 46lb and 47lb during his family's stay. Very well done Samuel. Sam Hatfields group had cats to over 60lb and carp to over 30lb. Well done Pete top angling wins the trophy.

4th August - 11th August

This week saw the biggest carp of the year landed by Herby at 49lb. Of great

note was Septic Greg with his 2 best fish going over 35lb and Big Ian with the sturgeon at 75lb, 45 fish caught to the 6 anglers here this week.

28th July 4th August

This week we had the pleasure of the Ralph group with us, all the lads beat their pb's none as spectacularly as Steve Ralph with a 1st night 47.12 mirror.

Most fish for the week was Charlie who landed 18 fish including carp and cats to over 30lb.

A long drive from Hull but i'm sure the lads didnt mind it. See you all next year lads.

21st July - 28th July

Blackpools taxi drivers had a top week landing 57 fish including 13 cats up tp 65lb, carp wise 16 fish over 30lbs.

Dennis landing the most with 17 fish, JP managed to lose 18 fish from the next swim due to dodgy rigs. lol

14th July - 21st July

This week the Scunny beermonsters descended on us, between drinking binges Kate managed the biggest fish of the week, with a fish over 30lb, Neil managed to overcome his bad luck and catch 9 fish to just under 30, Jase had 1 cat and 8 carp.

7th July - 14th July

This week 5 anglers shared 30 fish including 12 over 30lb, top rod was Keith from Hull

30th June - 7th July

This week saw a North v South match, North easily won the fishing whist South won the drinking. Top rod was Steve with over 30 fish to 39lb, losing nearly as many again to hook pulls. Pussy magnet pete landed several carp to over 30lb plus 2 catfish. Ducan (its ur middle rod) on his 1st french trip landed fist to over 30lb. Dave struggled a bit moving 3 times during the week, but after Steve gave him a 'hand' started to catch.

23rd June - 30th June

Jason took the trophy for the most fish this week landing fish to 32lb +

1 x 29lb catfish Wagman Wayne took the biggest, caught on the final night at 35.04lb pipping Bob to the post by 4oz. Awful weather though all week which put the fish off the feed somewhat, good drinking and golf by all however. Roll on summer!!

16th June - 23rd June

This week saw John Howesego catching his target of a 40lb fish with a 42lb mirror, along with several others including a 35lb cat. Dennis managed a few with his best a 60lb+ catfish.

3 anglers travelled from Northumberland and all smashed their personal bests Eddie doing the biggest with a fish of 411/2lb, beating his pb by 35lb!!!!!

Fishing quite difficult at the moment however due to the weather being very changeable.

9th June - 16th June

This week saw 78 fish caught, including 7 cats. top rod was aAdy senior with 24 fish to 31lb, Pete ended the week with several 30's to 35 and a 63lb cat. Dave decided to use worms and landed 4 cats to 60lb. With the settled weather the fish appear to have finished spawning and should be getting their heads down soon.

2nd June - 9th June 2007

Mike Long, Ronnie Street and the gang had a great time. Here are some of their catch. Ron,18,19,28, and 90lb sturgeon. Sam 31,25,29,33,26,27. Joe19,28,33,30,20.

26th May - 2nd June 2007

This week saw 46 fish landed, top rod Micheal Evans with 15 fish to 39lb including a 27lb never caught before grass carp. Micheals dad Lee caught the biggest fish at 47.10.
A special mention must go to 10 year old Thomas Butcher who landed 2 30's biggest 36lb, beating his pb by over 18lb well done.

19th - 26th May 2007

This week saw the return of the Webster lads, top of the pile was birthday boy Mark with a 41.5 lber on the eve of his 42nd birthday, Si got his wish and landed a 70lb sturgeon, Mike taking the most fish with 15 to just over 30, top drinking/fishing lads see u all soon for another session.

12th May - 19th May 2007

A better week with 71 fish being landed, Andy taking the biggest carp at 41lb. Keith took the most landing over 20 fish to 40.03lb. The little sturgeon was out at 70lb, Nige fished a night and took a catfish of 47lb.

5th May - 12th May 2007

A tough week for the 10 Dutch anglers, due to the weather taking a turn for the worse. Top rod being Jodi who took 13 fish to 39lbs, Ronnie broke the lake record for Sturgeon with the big un at 41kg/90lbs. The biggest Catfish was 58lb coming to the rods of Andre.

28th April-5th May 2007

Despite the fish spawning for 4 days of their holiday the Trent Tackle boys had a good weeks fishing landing 64 fish between them.

Top rod was John Gavin with 21 fish of which 10 were over 30lb, John's brother Dave landed the biggest carp of the week at 39lb. 6 cats to 47lb and both sturgeon also made an appearance.

Well done Sean for showing the others how to land them! Personal bests for 4 of the 5 anglers, well done lads see you next year.

21st-28th April 2007

7 anglers on the lake, 4 had new personal bests, between them caught 91 fish. 2 x 40 30 x 30 50 x 20 1 x cat and 1 x sturgeon (well done Steve).

Kent boys Nigel and Graham fishing the point had 56 fish WELL OVER 1/2 TONNE for very good angling lads!

Ray Stevens caught 7 fish but the smallest was 31lb the biggest 39.5.

All this despite the fish starting to spawn.

14th-21st April 2007

Only 3 anglers this week but still 41 fish caught. 15 year old Chris Farnan showed everyone how to do it, beating his personal best no less than 4 times during the week, ending up with 20 fish including 7 fish topping 30lb culminating in a 39.5lber. He also took 2 catfish 52 and 55lb, top angling.

2007 got off to a good start with 3 anglers on the lake this week taking 25 fish in total.

2 x 40lb the biggest 44lk12oz

8 x 30lb 10 x 20lb

2 x doubles 2 x sturgeon 1 x catfish

7 anglers on the lake this week, weathers a bit miserable, its a bit cold and wet, poor lads -2 and -4 at night brrrr. 1 x 38, 1 x 35 1 x 30 and 12 x 20's 2 x 69 sturgeon (he had to show didn't he??)

3 Anglers this week totalled a massive haul of 80 fish with weights up to 38.5lb. 5 x 30's 60 x 20's and of course 1 x sturgeon!!

It's happend again, he's been out at the lake record weight of 56.5lb. Ecstatic angler Paul Nutbrown hauled in this huge carp. Joining Paul was Kevin White who also had a great week with another lake record Sturgeon at 88lb. Well done lads. Paul sent an email to us 'Really really enjoyed myself, its a remarkable water and we loved every minute of it, we are definitely going back for sure' Nige is popping the Champange lads!!

Jason from Scunthorpe took his family for a few days fishing, Jason had a 36.5lb mirror with the help of Jess.

Mark Woodward took the lake common at 37lb.

Angler Robert Pates, 16 years old , caught a 31lb beauty. It was the biggest of his total catch of 23 over our 3 days.

Altogether the weeks catch was, 10 x 30's 1 x 56.5lb 90 x 20's 30 x doubles 2 x sturgeon 88lb and 69lb. What a week!!

The fishing is continues to be great, Peter and Dean had a great week with 62 fish between them, their biggest was a 30 pounder. Two anglers from holland joined in the action too and sent an email thanking us for a great weeks fishing.

Another great week on the lake 3 lads on last week with a total catch of 175 fish!!

Including 1 x 46 3 x 30 30 x 20's 1 x 70lb sturgeon. Well Done to Greig and Jo who topped their personal bests. Our bailiff (who is a bit of a poker player) lost quite a few quid to these 2 lads who had never played before in their life!! Better luck next time Nige...

Fishing still very good, we had 8 lads on the lake last week with a total catch of 90 fish including 1 x 45 2 x 38 and 20 x20's

The fishing continues to be great, last week we had 4 lads fishing the lake with a total of 150 fish.

29 x 20's 11 x 25+ 8 x 30's 2 x 40's the biggest to Paul Debono and a new lake record of 49lb. Well done Paul.

Stuart caught one of the sturgeon which gave him a good fight for 2 hours. Check out the new pics on the fish gallery.

Most anglers seem to be favouring the bait available on site C5 pellet, Matrix boilie and the Blue Water Special and prepared Maize. More information available later on in the week.

NEWS 30 APRIL 2005
Since we opened on April 2nd there has been plenty of action.

Well Done to Scott and Craig Ashley who caught 54 fish also the Army lads who hauled in over 100 fish!!

John Froggatt and friend managed a fantastic 77 fish. Check out the fish gallery for pics.

So far the catches have been 90 x 20's 12 x 30's 2 x 40's and the strugeon have obliged 4 times weighing in at 70lb.

Scott has the record biggest carp so far a mirror at 41 1/2 lb
